When is the 2017 Sarasota Film Festival?

The 19th Annual Sarasota Film Festival will run March 31st - April 9th, 2017.

When do you announce your films?

Our complete 2017 SFF Film & Event Guide will be available to the public on March 15, 2017. A digital version will be available on our website, and print versions will be available at the Box Office and numerous local businesses. To receive a notification as soon as programming is announced, join our email list.

How much do film tickets cost?

$15 - General public
$10 - SFF Members, Students and Educators (with valid ID). Click here to learn more about becoming a member. 
Children 12 and under may attend all SFF youthFEST films for FREE. However, tickets are required and may be obtained at the SFF Box Office. 

Where are film screenings and events held?

Films are shown at the Regal Hollywood 20 Theater (1993 Main St., Sarasota). Opening Night and Closing Night films are shown at the Sarasota Opera House. Events, Conversation Series, and panels are held at a variety of venues, such as the Florida Studio Theater, the Sarasota Yacht Club, World of Beer Main St., and other locations to be listed alongside each event in the 2017 SFF Film & Event Guide. 

How do I purchase tickets to films and events?

The Sarasota Film Festival Box Office will open to the public on March 17, 2017. SFF Members will be able to purchase tickets in advance during Member Days. After March 17, you may purchase tickets online by CLICKING HERE or visit our box office, located in the lobby of the Regal Hollywood 20 Theater (1993 Main St., Sarasota). What are the Box Office hours?

After March 17, the Sarasota Film Festival Box Office will be open 12 p.m. to  7 p.m. daily. The Box Office will be closed Easter Sunday. During the festival, the Box Office will open 1 hour prior to the first screening of the day and will close 30 minutes after the last screening of the day begins.

What if there's a film I want to see and tickets are not available?

For films with limited space, we have a cash-only STANDBY line. On a first-in-line basis, patrons in the STANDBY line may be able to purchase seats that are open moments before the film begins.

How do I submit my film to the next Sarasota Film Festival?

2017 Sarasota Film Festival submissions are now closed. Submissions for the 2018 Festival will open on September 1, 2017. Please check back with us then for more details! 

Does SFF offer any education programs? For adults, too?

The SFF Education department offers a variety of in-classroom and out-of-classroom education programs, for students from elementary school through adulthood, at no cost. To learn more about our year-round education and outreach initiatives, visit the "Community" section of our website. 

Can I volunteer at the Sarasota Film Festival? Can I earn service hours?

Absolutely! Our volunteer work force is key to the success of our festival, and since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, you can earn service hours for your school. Find out more information about volunteering by CLICKING HERE.
